Our Story

Pursuing a career in design was something I (Noelle) always had in my heart. I grew up wanting to live in New York City working in the fashion industry. My priority at that time was to get into a career that was all about me: creating a life I wanted, how would people know me, and how can I make it big?! Well, that dream never happened, and I am so thankful I didn’t get what I thought I wanted. Fast forward about 10 years from the realization that the fashion industry was not for me, my mom and I bought and completely renovated a 2,000 square foot home from the early 50’s.

When we started the process of looking for a house, I thought, “let’s just redo a small powder bathroom and see if we can even do this.” Never in my life did I think we could renovate a whole house, let alone absolutely love the process. And never in my life did I imagine that my future husband (Zak) would live down the street from that house! Eventually we met through friends at church and realized we lived so close to each other. We started dating and married one year and one day to the date we went on our first date.

We shared this dream to create a business that we could use our creative bent that is woven in us by God for His purposes: to make Him known and love people. We love taking spaces in people’s homes and creating environments that reflect the people who inhabit them. At Robinson & Co. Design, we believe that the home is a foreshadowing of heaven.
